THE STEPHEN QUILLER WORKSHOP The focus of this workshop will be color, color relationships and color theory as it relates to transparent watercolor. We will also emphasize composition and a personal approach to painting. The first three days will be in the studio while the last day, if the weather is good will be spent working with the color palette en plein air. Each day Steve will demonstrate and work with workshop participants. Most of the subjects that Steve will demonstrate will deal with the landscape. However artists can work with the subject of their choice. Artists should bring sketchbooks or photographs for reference material. The watercolors listed will correspond to the Quiller Palette. If the student wishes to work with any other media, the colors should also correspond to those on the Quiller Palette. I require that each student have a Quiller Palette. I will be using mostly Richeson watercolors (Stephen Quiller signature series) but you may use any other brand in comparable colors.
